Alan Wolnek | Founder and CEO

has been recognized as a pioneering leader in after school programming and preschool child care in the state of Florida for over 38 years. He has received many child-care awards, including the Florida School Age Child Care Coalition's "Award of Excellence" for Multi-Site Management. He was the President of the Broward County Kindergarten Association for 20 years, and serves on the Advisory Committee to the Broward County School Board on Before & After School Care, and the Boards of Directors of Junior Achievement and The Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.

Warren Smith | Chief Operating Officer

joined After School Programs, Inc in 2003. His experience includes 35 years with Broward County public schools, with 25 years as an Administrator, most recently at Riverglades Elementary. Warren has served on numerous county and district committees and has operated his own school-based after school program.

Nanci Sodikoff | Executive Director

has been with the company for over 20 years. She has more than 30 years' experience in education and child-care management, as a Teacher and Preschool Director. Nanci is a Child-Care Trainer for Nova Southeastern University and has served on many community child-care committees, school advisory councils, and is a member of national and state organizations on early childhood and school age child care.

Dr. Verda M. Farrow | Executive Director

joined After School Programs, Inc in 2010. She has 35 years experience in education, as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Area Director, Area Superintendent, and Acting Deputy Superintendent. Verda has served on several community Boards of Trustees and committees throughout Broward County. As Acting Deputy Superintendent (Educational Programs and Student Support), Verda worked with the district's Before & After Care programs, which supervises all providers in Broward County.

Mr. Alan Cohn

Certified Public Accountant and Attorney. Member of several professional organizations including New York Institute of Accountants, American Institute of CPAs and The Auditing Commission.

Ms. Ann Cutler

Former New York City School Teacher with over 25 years of experience in the field of early childhood education and as a Preschool Director in Florida.

Mr. Julian Gazzano Jr.

Former School Superintendent with 44 years of educational experience in New York and Florida, has also served as a Teacher, Director of Special Education, Elementary School Principal, Adjunct Professor and most recently Executive Director for After School Programs, Inc.

Ms. G. Jayne Hall

Former Principal, Pembroke Pines Charter School. Has over 31 years of experience in the education field, 18 as a Principal. Served on many district committees including Budget, Exceptional Student Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages

Dr. Deedara Hicks

Dr. Deedara Hicks serves as Regional Executive Director with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). She and the regional team provide direct assistance to schools and districts within the state. Dr. Hicks has been in education for 21 years and has worked in Orange, Broward and Volusia County Schools as a Teacher Leader, Principal and District Director of Professional Development.

Mr. Sid Kopperl

Served as Senior Vice President, Union Bank, Board of Directors, Jewish Community Center, Former President Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Susan Motley

Attorney with the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, PA, and former Broward County Teacher.

Mr. Warren Smith

Former Principal, Riverglades Elementary School. Broward County Educator for 35 years with 22 years experience as a Principal. Has served on many district committees focusing on policy, budgeting, safety and curriculum review.
